Winifred Fornoff

Winifred Dailey Fornoff, 91, of Pekin and formerly of Mapleton died at 11:25 am Tuesday, March 02, 2010 at Hallmark Nursing Center in Pekin. Winifred was born on February 7, 1919 in Mapleton, IL to Smith and Lida (Stewart) Calhoun. She married Cleland R. Dailey on February 12, 1938 in Peoria County, IL. He died August 7, 1985. She then married Alvin G. Fornoff on December 27, 1987 in Pekin. He died February 10, 2002. Also preceding in death are her parents, two brothers and two sisters. Surviving is: one son, Larry (Alice B.) Dailey of Mapleton, IL; two step children, Gerald Fornoff of Lafayette, LA and Jeanette (Thomas) Collette of Grayslake, IL; one sister-in-law, Betty Jean Calhoun;two step grandchildren, Theresa (Scott) Campbell of Round Lake, IL and Ryan Fornoff of New Orleans, LA and one step great granddaughter. Winifredattended school in Mapleton and two years at Glasford High School. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Pekin, the Bethlehem Society and Senior Club of her churchand the Caterpillar Retirees Club. She was a devoted mother and homemaker.
