Wilma Eileen Campbell

Wilma Eileen Campbell, 82, of West Des Moines, IA formerly of Pekin died at 4:30 pm Sunday, March 14, 2010 at her home. Wilma was born on September 15, 1927 in Pekin, IL to Jesse B. and Candace (Wineburner) Bennett. She married Jack Wesley Campbell on March 17, 1951 in Galesburg, IL. He died on December 29, 2002. Also preceding in death are her parents. Surviving are: one son, Jack Todd Campbell of Peoria, IL; two daughters, Sheila Rene Bickel of Grimes, IA and Charlene Kae (and H. Lynn) Horak of West Des Moines; six grandchildren, Amy Bickel, Jennifer (Erik) Horak-Hult, Adam (and Emily) Horak, Brook Campbell, Wesley Campbell and Bronson Campbell; two great grandchildren, Leif Erik Horak-Hult and Eileen Minna Horak-Hult; one brother, Leo (and Betty) Bennett of Pekin, IL. She and her husband were foster parents to sixteen children through the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. Wilma and her husband were owner-operators of the Knox Laundry and Dry Cleaning in Galesburg from 1963 - 2001. She was a long time member of the Pekin Bible Church.
