William F. Taylor

William F. 'Bill' Taylor, 79, of Pekin, IL passed away at 11:00 PM Monday, December 31, 2012 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria, IL, Bill was born on May 30, 1933 in Delavan, Illinois to Harold and Marietta (Wood) Taylor. He married Mona J. Rist on June 1, 1956. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Barbara Bohart. Surviving is: his wife, Mona of Pekin; one daughter, Monica (Robert) Reis of Pekin; two grandsons, William Reis of Pekin and Robert Reis Jr. of Washington, IL; one brother, Bruce (Mary Ellen) Taylor of Peoria. Bill was a staff sergeant for the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He then served on the Peoria Police Department until his retirement in 1998. He was a Deputy for the Tazewell County Coroner from 1997 - 2007. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, January 4, 2013 at Henderson Funeral Home in Pekin with Rev. Don Rohde officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home. Cremation has been accorded.
