William Lang

William 'Bill' Lang Sr., 92, of Havana, IL passed away at 7:40 PM Tuesday, December 6, 2001 at Mason District Hospital in Havana. Bill was born on July 27, 1919 in Tremont, IL to Fred and Mary (Hoak) Lang. He married Katherine Starcevich on May 2, 1938. She died on February 7, 2009. Also preceding in death are his parents and three brothers, Fred, Carl and Robert Lang. Surviving are: one son, William Lang Jr. of Topeka, IL; one granddaughter, Judy Eades of Pekin, IL; four great grandchildren, Beth Ruder, Steven, Daniel and Scott Eades; seven great great grandchildren. Bill and his wife owned and operated the Kumbak Caf and Derby Street Market in Pekin for over 25 years.He was a member of VFW Post #6408 in Havana. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Monday, December 12, 2011 at Henderson Funeral Home in Pekin.Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be from Noon till 1:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
