William J. Collier

William J. 'Bill' Collier Sr. of Peoria, IL passed away at 5:25 AM, Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Bill was born on February 22, 1940 in Chicago, IL to William A. and Helen (Brown) Collier. He married Frances McIntyre on February 25, 1957 in Pekin. Preceding in death are his parents, one son, Michael Collier, one niece, Connie Hayes and one sister in law, Della Mae Burke. Surviving are: his wife, Frances of Peoria; two sons, William Collier Jr. of East Peoria, IL and Daniel (Vickie) Collier of Yates City, IL; one daughter, Elaina (Mark) Moline of Morton, IL; one nephew, Bill (Vicki) Burke of Manito, IL; two nieces, Cathy (Tom) Tally of Manitoba, Canada and Donna Burke of Peoria; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Bill served in the United States Air Force.He was a laborer working out of Local #165 for over 50 years. He was also a lifetime member of the NRA. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. At his request, there will be no visitation. Private graveside services will be held at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory in Pekin has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home.
