William L. Caulkins

William "Bill" Caulkins 62, of Manito passed away at 11:12 pm Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Hopedale Nursing Home. Bill was born to Nelson "Jiggs" and Glenna (Smith) Caulkins on May 14, 1959 in Hopedale. He is survived by two sisters, Gwen Gaskill and Julie Caulkins both of Manito; nieces Amber (Earl Jr) Mayhew of Grand Blanc, Michigan, Rhandi (Adam) Weinstock of Northbrook, IL; two nephews Brett Caulkins of Manito and Ian (Kourtney) Gaskill of Green Valley, ; step brother Kevin (Julie) Schoonover of Simi Valley, CA; step niece Jasmine (Nelson) Wong of Huntsville AL, step nephew Keith (Jessica) Schoonover of Simi Valley, CA; and great nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; step mother, Audrey Caulkins; infant sister Tami; brother, Robert "Bob" Caulkins; and brother in law, Reggie Gaskill. Bill worked at Delmar Marine and then Midwest Tankerman as an Ethanol Load Specialist with over forty years of service. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. He loved sports and especially enjoyed High School Basketball games. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, August 30, 2021 with visitation from 9:00 am-10:00 am prior to service at Henderson Funeral Home 2131 Velde Dr., Pekin, IL with Pastor Steve Oaks officiating. Burial will be at Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Manito. Memorials may be directed to Midwest Central Boosters Club or KB Strong Foundation.
