Wayne L. Liescheidt

Wayne L. Liescheidt, 84, of Pekin passed away at 5:32 AM Monday, November 21, 2011 at Hallmark House Nursing Center in Pekin. Wayne was born on August 29, 1927 in Pekin to Walter and Louise (Hildebrandt) Liescheidt. He married Maxine Arnett in 1948. She died in July 1981. He married Marilyn Meyer Watson on June 1, 1984 in Pekin. Preceding in death are his parents, step son Thomas K. Watson and sisters Doris Barnes and Millie Vetter. Surviving are: his wife, Marilyn of Pekin; one son, Tom (Janice) Liescheidt of Pekin; one daughter, Nancy (Dave) Drockelman of Pekin; three step sons, Jim (Anne) Watson of Riverton, IL, Bob Watson and Dan (Michelle) Watson both of Pekin; one step daughter-in-law, Christy Watson of Manito; one sister, Mary (Ken) Beck of Pekin; one granddaughter, Aminta Liescheidt; ten step grandchildren, Cody (Vanessa) Watson, Casey, Kim, Clare, Dane, and Danielle Watson,Christopher Lindsey, Derek (Allison) Drockelman, Darcey Drockelman and Jonathon (Shannon) Drockelman; two step great grandchildren, Jack and Emma Drockelman. Wayne was a World War II veteran of the United States Navy. He worked at Commonwealth Edison as a Supervisor and retired after 35 years. Wayne was a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Pekin where he served as a trustee and an usher. He enjoyed golf, square dancing and was avid Cub fan. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, November 25, 2011 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Pekin.Rev.Glenn R.A. Neimann will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM Friday at the church. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Arrangements have been entrusted to Henderson Funeral Home in Pekin.
