Wayne H. Barber

Wayne H. Barber, 79, of Pekin passed away at 5:05 am Saturday, September 24, 2011 at his home. Wayne was born on September 3, 1932 in Shelby County, IL to Glenn and Mildred (Hight) Barber. He married Caroline J. Johnson on June 12, 1954 in Assumption, IL. Preceding in death are his parents and one granddaughter, Whitney Linn Barber. Surviving are: his wife, Caroline of Pekin; four sons, Mark (Leanna) Barber of Springfield, IL, Glen (Julie) Barber of Roseville, IL, David (Deanna) Barber of Rochester, IL and Paul Michael (Suzanne) Barber of Groveland, IL; one daughter, Linda LoScalzo of Kansas City, KS; ten grandchildren, Jennifer Fox, Alisha Worley, Gabriel and Hailey LoScalzo, Scott, Matt, Travis, Jake, Jesse and Ben Barber; three great grandchildren, Tyler Fox,Isabelle and Augusten Barber; one sister, Ardith Shaffer of Decatur, IL. Wayne graduated from Assumption High School and the University of Illinois. Cremation will be accorded. A private memorial service and burial will be held at a later date. Henderson Funeral Home in Pekin is assisting Wayne's family with arrangements.
