Wanda Speener

Wanda Speener, 66, of Pekin, IL passed away at 9:18 AM Thursday, April 08, 2021 at her home. Wanda was born on July 16, 1954 in Watseka, IL to Kenneth Perkins and mother Berdeena (Ashley) Huggins. Preceding her in death are her parents, two sisters and one brother. Surviving are: one son, Gerald (Cynthia) Roath of Pekin; three daughters, Victoria (Paul) Pettijohn of Pekin, Katherine (Daniel Wubben) Speener of North Pekin, IL and Wanda (Dale Lappin) Speener of East Peoria, IL; nine grandchildren, Lonnie (Alishia) Page-Speener, Jacob Roath, Isabella Roath, Mariah Roath, Zachary Roath, Antonio Speener, Dylan Hamlet, Autumn Hamlet and Treasa Speener; five great grandchildren, Makiah, Melody, Landen, Desmond and Hayden; two brothers, Wiley (Sheryl) Huggins of Washington, IL and Billy (Susan) Huggins of Rockford, IL. Wanda loved art, reading, music and the history of Native American Heritage. She had dedicated her life to caring for her family. A visitation for Wanda will be from 1:00 PM 3:00 PM Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory in Pekin. Inurnment will be at 2:00 PM Monday, April 12, 2021 in Glendale Cemetery in Washington, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to help the family with funeral expenses in care of Victoria Pettijohn.
