Vivian M. Wallin, 83, of Pekin, IL passed away at 4:30 AM Friday, May 08, 2015 at her home. Vivian was born on July 9, 1931 in Bulpitt, IL to Charles and Mary K. (O'Russa) Maquet. She married Robert O. Wallin on August 12, 1956 in Pekin, IL. Her parents and husband preceded her in death. Surviving are: one son, David Robert Wallin of Chicago, IL; two daughters, Janet Marie (Bob) Saal of Pekin and Barbara Ann ( Bob) Madsen of San Diego, CA; one grandson, Walker Robert Madsen of San Diego, Ca; one brother, Donald (Virginia) Maquet of Leucadia, CA. Vivian worked as teacher for several years before becoming a social worker for the Illinois Department of Public Aid retiring in 2000. Vivian and her husband owned and operated Twin Lakes Beach in North Pekin for many years. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church and served as Choir Director for several years. She was a past president of the Pekin Hospital League. She was an avid bridge player and had a love for music. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Charles Cunningham officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Friday, May 15 at Henderson Funeral Home and Crematory. Additional visitation will be from 9:45 AM - 10:15 AM at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to TAPS or First United Presbyterian Church.
