Virginia W. Hocker

Virginia W. Hocker, 86, of 2700 S. 14th Street Pekin died at 8:02 am Thursday, April 01, 2010 at Pekin Hospital. Virginia was born August 10, 1923 in Lauderdale, MS to Robert S. and Luna F. (Fleming) Wilder. She married John H. Hocker on February 17, 1944 in Mississippi. He died on December 23, 2000. Surviving are: one daughter, Linda (Mel) Clauser of Delavan, IL; one son, Robert ( Melanie) Hocker of Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Jeff (Sara) Clauser, David (Sara) Clauser, Stephanie (Joel) Finamore and John Hocker; four great grandchildren, Hannah, Sophia and Noah Clauser, Joshua Finamore; one sister, Julia Phillips of Madison, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. Virginia was a member of Second Reformed Church in Pekin where she volunteered for many years . She volunteered at Hopedale Commons, John Evans Supportive Living, and The Grand Victorian. She loved sewing for others, baking for family and friends, walking, and riding her three wheeled bike around town.
