Virginia J. Harris

Virginia J. Harris, 87, of 1804 Vienna Ct. passed away at 8:12 pm Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Hopedale Hospital in Hopedale, IL. Virginia was born on July 30, 1919 in Pittsfield, IL to Nathanial B. and Bertha M. Sneeden. She is survived by: two sisters, E. Marie Harris of Pekin and Donna E. Hensley of Miner, IL; and eight nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Earl Harris. Virginia received her teaching certificate in 1939. Most of her teaching career was in Pekin School District #108. She also was a teacher in Pike and McDonough counties in earlier years. Virginia was a member of the Christian Church in Detroit, IL and the Tazewell County Retired Teachers Association. She loved to do needle point and cross stitch. Virginia will be missed by her friends and family.
