Viola L. Schlottman

Viola Schlottman, 98, of 709 Buckhaven Pekin passed away at 7:15 pm Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Hallmark House Nursing Center. Viola was born on May 3, 1909 in Pekin to John and Stella (Hampton) Becker. She married Cecil Burling on June 24, 1934 in Pekin. He died May 27,1953. She married Carl Schlottman on October 7, 1972 in Pekin. He died June 27, 1987. Also preceding in death are four brothers George, Kenneth, Eugene and Alvin Becker. Surviving are; one daughter, Mary Ann (and Frank) Weindel of Pekin; two granddaughters, Ann (and Brian) Fuelberth and Susan (and David) Woodruff both of Pekin; four great grandchildren, Katie Woodruff, Zach Fuelberth, Joe Woodruff and Augie Fuelberth all of Pekin; two brothers, Raymond (and Sharon) Becker and Melvin (and Lois) Becker both of Pekin; one sister-in-law, Mildred Becker; several nieces and nephews. Viola was a member and Sunday School teacher at St. John's Lutheran Church in Pekin. Viola loved cooking and baking for others.Her family was a very important part of her life.She also enjoyed knitting.
