Vinetta B. Hall, 92, of Pekin, IL passed away at 1:25 AM Friday, March 20, 2026 at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton, IL.
Vinetta was born on February 11, 1934 in Unicoi, TN to Jesse M. and Juanita (Forbes) Tipton. She married Gerald “Jerry” Hall on April 25, 1954 in Pekin. He passed away on June 9, 2018.
Also preceding in death are one son, Glenn Hall and one sister, Helen Voege.
Surviving are: two son, Vance Hall of Pekin and Jay (Donna) Hall of Pekin; one daughter, Dianne (Mike) Shrier of Carlock, IL; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Mary Hall of Salem, MO; one brother, Jesse Tipton of Decatur, IL.
Vinetta was devoted lifelong member of First Christian Church, where she actively participated in the Esther Circle and lent her beautiful voice to the church choir for more than 50 years. She was deeply involved in her community through her membership in P.E.O. Chapter LM, the YWCA, and the League at Carle Health Pekin Hospital. Together with her husband Jerry, Vinetta co-owned Excalibur Seasonings in Pekin – a successful family business established in 1986. She took great pleasure in leisure activities that brought creativity and connection, including playing bridge with friends and expressing her artistic side through painting.
Cremation will be accorded. Inurnment will be at a later date in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with Vinetta’s arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or TAPS.
