Vincent P. Barger

Vincent P. "Vince" Barger, 56, of Washburn, IL passed away at 11:47PM Sunday, September 18, 2022 at his home. Vince was born on August 17, 1966 in Peoria, IL to Jack and Constance (Grayeb) Barger. He married Judy Weghorst Rives on October 14, 2006 in Mackinac Island, MI. His father preceded him in death. Surviving are: his wife, Judy of Washburn; his mother, Constance Barger of Peoria; two sons, Blaine (Morgan) Barger of Baytown, TX and Blake (Taylor) Barger of Baytown, TX; two grandchildren, Brayden and Brody Barger; two step daughters, Amber Rives of Port St. Lucie, FL and Crystal Rives of Evanston, IL; one brother, Jack (Robin) Barger of Lacon, IL; one half-sister Kristin Ciolino of Peoria, IL; one half-brother Brandon Barger of East Peoria, IL; his faithful companion, Skeeter. Vince was a contractor for quality control inspections. He was a Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified ASME NQA-1 Nuclear Auditor, Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Electrician, ASQ-CQA ISO Auditor, NASA Authorization Documents, Westinghouse Nuclear Documents, Certified FAA Pilot license. He enjoyed fishing, billiards, guns, and singing karaoke. He and Judy lived in Port St. Lucie, FL for thirteen years before returning to central Illinois. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory with Jeff Leeman officiating. Visitation will be from Noon to 1:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodrow Cemetery near South Pekin. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
