Vicki L. King

Vicki Lee Bryant King, 59, of Pekin, IL passed away at 5:40 PM Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at her home. She was born on January 7, 1961 in Peoria, IL to Vernon and Joyce (O'Brien) Bryant. She was preceded in death by her father. Surviving are: her mother, Joyce of Pekin; two sons, Bryce (Samantha LaMothe) King of Pekin, Devin King of New Berlin, IL; and her dog, Albert. Vicki was overjoyed to be expecting her first grandchild in April of 2021. Vicki was a 1979 graduate from Pekin Community High School. She later graduated from Bradley University in 2003, being top in her class with a strong passion for education. Vicki began her teaching career at Rodgers Elementary School, later working for District 150. She treasured her career in teaching and influencing the lives of children. She loved being outdoors, a beautiful sunset, her friends, listening to music, St. Louis Cardinals, her lord and greatest of all, her family. She was greatly loved and will forever be missed in equal measure. Her Memorial Service will be at 2:00 PM Monday, October 12, 2020 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory, 2131 Velde Drive, Pekin. Pastor Mark Foglio will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:00 - 2:00 PM prior to the service. Social distancing and mask guidelines will be followed. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alan's Sober Living House in Pekin.
