Vera L. Damarin

Vera L. Damarin, 92, of Pekin, IL passed away at 10:50 AM Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Timbercreek Rehab and Health Center in Pekin. Vera was born on November 4, 1928 in Pekin to Carl and Madge (Hyatt) Hoffman. She married Max Damarin on May 31, 1953 in Pekin. He passed away on January 14, 1996. Also preceding in death are her parents, one sister, Phyllis Larimore, two brothers, Richard Hoffman and Neal Hoffman, granddaughter, Kali Anderson and great grandson, Braden Anderson. Surviving are: one son, Max E. (Tammy) Damarin Jr. of Pekin; three daughters, Joy Lamberson of Pekin, Nancy (Don) Brush of Green Valley and Jill (Larry) Wright of Weatherford, TX; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Vera worked for CENTEL from 1968 1993. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ. She enjoyed flowers, music, Yahtzee and word search puzzles. She also enjoyed playing the piano and organ. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Saturday, October 16, 2021 at St. Paul United Church of Christ with Rev. Dr. Forrest R. Krummel Jr. officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM 10:30 AM Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ or Good Shepherd Lutheran School.
