Velma "Jean" Jackson

Velma 'Jean' Jackson, 79, of Pekin passed away at 12:15 am, Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at her home. She was born May 5, 1930 in Pekin to Lawrence Sr. and Amelia (Schmidt) Farlin.She married Rolland 'Mike' Jackson on May 13, 1951 in a double wedding in Pekin.He survives. Also surviving are two sons, Ricky (Deb) Jackson of Manito and Dave (Debbie) Jackson of Pekin; three brothers, Junior (Marge) Farlin, Gary (Peg) Farlin of Pekin and Bob (June Barrack) Farlin of South Pekin; one sister Lois Kelley of Fruitland Iowa; seven grandchildren and three great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant daughter, Linda. She belonged to the Jayco Camping Club and was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Pekin.
