Vada Mardell Schneider

Vada Mardell Schneider, 87, of Pekin passed away at 7:30 pm, Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Hallmark Nursing Center. Vada was born July 13, 1927 in Pekin to Aaron and Goldie (Oedewaldt) Patten. She married Francis O'Hara. He passed away and she then married Charles Schneider.He preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by her parents. Vada is survived by one son, Michael O'Hara of Pekin; one daughter, Marla O'Hara of Lewisville, TX; one grandson, Lukas O'Hara of Chicago, IL; two step grandchildren, Alana Hunt of Pekin and Regan Beggs of White Bear Lake, MN. Vada formerly owned the Decorating Den and last worked at Bergners in the cosmetic department. She enjoyed sewing and playing cards. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September, 9, 2014 Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr. with Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Monday, September 8 at the funeral home.Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Center for Prevention of Abuse or the American Cancer Society.
