Troy N. Kizer

Troy Nelson Kizer 42, of Pekin, peacefully went to be with the Lord surrounded by family and friends on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 5:02pm. Troy was born on August 31, 1972, son of Paul and Linda Nelson Kizer.He married Amberly L. Cope on June 7, 1997 and had two beautiful children, his son, Joshua (13) and daughter, Gracie (11).Troy was a wonderful, loving husband and an amazing, incredible Daddy. His love, dedication, patience, strength and passion for life will live in our hearts forever. One of Troy's greatest joys in life was coaching his children's many sports teams.He was Joshua and Gracie's biggest fan, supporter, and encourager.They will cherish his loving guidance forever. For the past 10 years Troy has been employed in East Peoria at Caterpillar building HH where he had many friends he enjoyed talking sports with. He is survived by his wife, Amberly and two children, Joshua and Gracie,Parents Paul & Linda Nelson Kizer and Parent In-Laws Jim & Tanya Cope,two brother-n-laws and two sister in-laws, Shawn & Angela Cope and Holly & Brian Beckham, one brother, Brian-Rhonda Kizer, four nephews, and four nieces of whom he loved so dearly.Aaron, Jacob, Danielle & Caleb Cope. Briona, Brayden & Brooklyn Beckham, Carley Kizer, and one step niece, two very special cousins Julie Howell & Chad Nelson and several special aunts, uncles and cousins. Troy was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. Troy's visitation will be held on Friday, April 17th from 5 to 8pm at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory, 2131 Velde Dr., Pekin, IL. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, April 18th at 9:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 303 S. 7th Street, in Pekin, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to an educational fund for his children, Joshua and Gracie Kizer, established at CEFCU or at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory.
