Toni Rose of Gulf Shores, AL formerly of Pekin, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022. She was born to Ben and Delores Rose in Pekin, Il. on June 13, 1957. She is survived by; her beloved mother Delores Shafer; two sisters, Debbie Null, and Jeanette (Scott) Hyatt; three daughters: Billie (Trent) May, Sonya (Patrick) Fitzanko, and Katrina Addison. She had 12 grandchildren: Alexis Crain, Coltan May, Malia May, Kyleigh Fitzanko, Savanah Fitzanko, Raine Robertson, Nevaeh May, Seth Fitzanko, Avelyn Addison, Zeke Fitzanko, Atlas Addison; and one great-grandchild: Ocean Oquenda. She was preceded in death by her father Ben Rose, and grandson Austin James May. Toni Rose was a woman with an untamed spirit who knew no bounds. Without a doubt she lived her life to the absolute fullest. Toni adored the family cabin, and was obsessed with preserving the earth. Her door was always open to friends and family who needed a safe place; without judgment or question. Toni went to nursing school at Illinois Central College, and worked as a healthcare provider at St. Francis Hospital. She took a leap of faith to move her family to Honolulu Hawaii, where she worked at Kulia Harbor. Toni returned to her hometown in Illinois where she began her own business (City Treasure Hunt). When Toni retired, she moved to Gulf Shores Alabama to be with her family. She looked forward to coffee with her girls, beach days, and sailing. Toni cherished her grandkids by collecting antique toys for their playroom, and captivating their imaginations with all her stories. Toni had a unique affinity for animals and would always have a new furry friend at her doorstep. The list of friends and acquaintances of Tonis could go on and on Toni Rose was certainly the fire cracker in all of our lives and unequivocally preserved her beliefs by teaching her daughters to always follow their dreams and always put their faith in God. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Simeon D. Raddatz officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM -1:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Entombment will be Lakeside Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or T.A.P.S.
