Timothy "Tim" J. Probst

Timothy J. Probst, 71 of Delavan passed away at 3:08 am, Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on January 6, 1953 to Stanley and Bessie (Brown) Probst in Peoria, IL. He married Sandra "Bobbie" Rogers on March 7, 1970 in Peoria, IL. Tim was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Linda and Patty Probst. He is survived by; his wife Bobbie; one son, Rob Probst of El Paso, IL; one daughter, DeeDee Hennig of Marquette Heights, IL; four grandchildren, Dillon (Cheyanne) Hennig, Allison Probst, Ella Probst, and Steven Hennig; one great-grandson, River Hennig; three brothers, Jeff Probst of Peoria, Bill (Karen) Ryan of FL, and Larry Ryan of Creve Coeur, IL.; and one sister Cathy Yetton of Chillicothe. Tim was owner/operator of his Towing Company for many years. He was a true "gear head" maintaining a lifelong love affair with Old Classic Cars and motorcycles. He happily passed his love of bikes on to his family. He was a talented pool player and enjoyed it greatly. But above all that, his greatest treasure was his family and friends. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Tim's Life will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, September 28 with a visitation one hour prior from 2:00 pm to 3:00pm at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, 2201 E Washington St, East Peoria, IL with Pastor Paul Hinzman officiating. Cremation has been accorded. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
