Thomas F Neff

Thomas F. Neff, 87, of South Pekin, IL passed away at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Pekin Hospital. Tom was born on June 19, 1926 in Bloomington, IL to Newton and Mabel (Harne) Neff. He married Dorothy Hafley on August 3, 1945 in San Diego, CA. Preceding in death are his parents and one daughter, Sharon Kay Potts. Surviving is: his wife, Dorothyof South Pekin; two sons, Thomas H. (Jessica) Neff of Wright City, MO and Robert D. (Lisa) Neff of Pekin, IL; one daughter, Susan J. (Bill) Schriever of Morris, IL; one brother, James R. (Joann) Neff of Camrose, Alberta, Canada; seven grandchildren, two step grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren. Tom was a World War II veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of the Normandale Reformed Church in Pekin. He worked for AT&T for 35 years retiring in 1987. He enjoyed camping and fishing. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr. Pekin with Rev. Kerry Frantz officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin with military honors provided by the United States Navy and the Tazewell Area Ceremonial Team.
