Thomas G. Gendron

Thomas G. "Tom" Gendron, 74 of Marquette Heights passed away at 11:02 am, Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at The Loft in East Peoria. He was born in Elizabethton, TN on September 4, 1950 to Raymond C. Haynes and Evelyn V. Jones. He was lovingly raised by his mother Evelyn V. and Robert W. Gendron. He was married to Christy Piletic on October 14, 2011 in Pekin, IL after 25 years together. Tom was preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers, Timothy and Jerry Gendron, and one granddaughter, Julia Liggett. Tom is survived by; his wife, Christy; five daughters, Jessica (Ben) Gendron-Williams of Hudson, OH, Stephanie (Brandon) Gendron of Marquette Heights, IL, Sarah (Nick) Gendron of Mackinaw, Deann (Brent) Burroughs of Pekin, IL, and Shelly Delgado of Las Vegas, NV; one son, Chad Gendron of Peoria Heights; grandchildren Tyler, Wyatt, Hannah, Raiden, Quintin, Ryland, Emery, Carter, Oliver, and Finn; and four great-grandchildren. He worked as a Mechanic for Firestone, retiring in 2008. He worked at AutoZone in East Peoria in retirement. Tom enjoyed being outside, fishing, grilling, and spending time with his family, friends, and beloved dog Bandit. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory in Pekin. A visitation will be the night prior on Wednesday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
