Thomas G. Bailey, 88, of Pekin, IL passed away at 1:30 pm Thursday, January 28, 2010 at his home. Tom was born on July 5, 1921 to Wilson and Rose (Thompson) Bailey. He married Virginia Hackler Ketcham on January 16, 1948 in Pekin, IL. She survives in Pekin. Also surviving are: one daughter, Jan (Dennis) Harney of Kahuku, HI; two step daughters, Connie (Larry) Wolters of Pekin and Karen Woods of Manito, IL; five grandchildren, Jeffery Sangalli of Pekin, Reis Harney of Kahuku, HI, Angela Bushman of Scottsdale AZ and Hawaii, Kristi (David) Alexander of Pekin and Amy Hadley of Topeka, IL; six great grandchildren, Lauren, Brittan and Grant Bushman of Scottsdale, AZ, Hannah and Sarah Alexander of Pekin and Hailey Crebo of Topeka, IL. Preceding in death are three brothers, two sisters and one grandson, James McKinney. Tom was a WW II veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He was employed at Commonwealth Edison Powerton Station for 30 years retiring on October 1, 1982. Tom was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ and the Churchmen's Brotherhood. He was also a member of the Powerton Playboys and a life member of William Schaefer Post 44 American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Roy L. King Post 1232. He was a former member of the Elks.
