Thelma F. Ehmke

Thelma Frances Ehmke, 86, of 900 Anna Eliza St., Pekin, passed away at 5:42 am Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Bel-Wood Nursing Home. Thelma was born June 14, 1922 in Green Valley to Walter and Anna (Severt) Drockelman.She married Paul Ehmke on January 29, 1943 in Pekin. He passed away December 10, 1988. Also preceding her in death are her parents; and four sisters. She is survived by two sons, Dale W. (Pamella) Ehmke of Peoria and Stanley P. Ehmke of Pekin. Thelma had been an Assistant Bookkeeper for Pekin Hospital. She then was an Assistant to the nurse at Pekin High School from 1958-1976. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she was a member of Women's Guild and taught Sunday School. She had been a member of the Douglas School PTA and Mothers Club. She was also a former Den Mother for Pack # 93 Cub Scouts at Douglas School.
