Terry L. Garmon

Terry Lee Garmon, 71, of Pekin, passed away on October 10, 2026, at Pekin Hospital.

Terry was born on May 9, 1955, in Pekin, Illinois, to William “Wayne” and Nora (Cox) Garmon. He grew up in Pekin and attended Pekin High School. A hard worker from a young age, Terry took his first job at 15 at a newspaper stand in Chicago. He went on to spend 30 years in the rod mill at Keystone before retiring.

He was formerly married to Diana Schott, with whom he had two children: Jessie Garmon and Jeremy Garmon. He was later married to Dorothy Garmon, who brought her daughter, Dawn Mucciante, into his family.

In his free time, Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching flat-track races, and riding his motorcycle.

He is survived by his children, Jessie (Cari Heflin) Garmon, Jeremy (Cyndi) Garmon, and Dawn Mucciante; his brothers, Larry (Brenda) Garmon and David Garmon; six grandchildren, Skyler Garmon, Olivia (Ryan) Seelye, Malachi Garmon, Ty (Sydney Sales) Garmon, Trey Garmon, and Taylir Garmon; and three great-grandchildren, Takoda Garmon, Eden Garmon, and Asher Seelye.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy Ewen, James Ewen, Donald Garmon, William “Ralph” Garmon, and Ronald Garmon; and his sister, Wanda Young.
