Terry L. Budke, 70 of Pekin, passed away at 7:13 pm, Friday, September 2, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. Terry was born September 20, 1945 in Pekin to Harold and Frances (Ary) Budke. He married Norma Hony on June 22, 1996 in Forest City. She survives. Preceding in death are his parents. Surviving are his wife Norma; one son, Troy (Abby) Budke of Manito; two daughters, Valorie (Chuck Kuhn) Budke of Decatur, and Tracy (Charles) Tarpley of Green Valley; one grandson, Isaiah Joseph Budke; two step-sons, Scott (Margarita) Thompson of Chicago, and Tim (Stephanie) Thompson; two step-grandchildren, Brayden and Paige Thompson of Pekin; three brothers, Kent (Mary Lou) Budke of East Peoria, Roger (Susie) Budke of Smyrna TN, and Norman (Diana) Budke of Manito; one sister, Mae (Bob) Spraggs of Manito. Terry worked at Caterpillar as a brick mason and machinist for 33 years, retiring in 1996. He enjoyed making bluebird houses and yard work, was an avid fisherman, loved NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, and the Cubs and Bears. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory, 2131 Velde Dr., Pekin with Rev Tom Guengerich officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Tazewell Animal Protective Society (TAPS), 100 Taps Lane, Pekin, IL or to the Manito Food Bank.
