Steven E. Smith

Steven E. Smith, 77, of Tremont, IL passed away at 8:05 PM Friday, June 26, 2026 at Carle Health Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, IL.

Steve was born on October 4, 1948 in Macomb, IL to Helen Smith. He married Terry McGlothlin on February 27, 1977.

He was preceded in death by his mother and great nephew, Jaxson Harper.

Surviving are: his wife, Terry of Tremont and lots of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Steven graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Business. He was a consultant with Solar Energy Consulting Group. He was a member of the Morton Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He took many hunting trips to the western states.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Adam Penn officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 8th.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
