Stephen Scott Minch

Stephen S. 'Steve' Minch, 45, of St. Charles, MO and formerly of Pekin passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 in Granite City, IL. Steve was born on October 3, 1968 in Pekin, IL to Gerald and Patricia (DuPage) Minch. Surviving are: two daughters, Amanda Minch and Kendra Minch both of St. Charles, MO; parents, Jerry and Pat Minch of Pekin, IL; one brother, Chris (Dawn) Minch of Hopewell, IL; aunts and uncle, John and Nora Jane Otten of Washington, IL;Barbara Payne of Pekin, IL and Dorothy Minch of Milwaukee, WI. He was preceded in death by two uncles, Douglas Payne and Donald Minch. Steve was a graduate of Illinois State University, and was the Technology Engineering Lead for Ascension Information Services. Steve enjoyed golfing; cooking and grilling out for his daughters; and his work in computers. He was also an Eagle Scout. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM -11:00 AM on Monday, July 14, 2014. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM. Visitation and memorial services will be held at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr., Pekin, IL. Private burial will be later at Lakeside Cemetery, in Pekin, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an Education Fund for Amanda and Kendra Minch.
