Sidney M. Baker

Sidney Marie Baker, 30, of East Peoria, IL passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at University of Chicago Medical Center in Chicago, IL.

Sidney was born on September 25, 1995 in Pekin to Jay C. and Joan M. (Rakers) Blair. She married Ryan Baker on June 2, 2018 in Peoria. They built an incredible life centered around the shared joy of raising their son and making memories alongside one another.

Sidney was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Gail Blair; maternal grandparents, Bert and Sylvia Rakers.

Surviving are: her husband, Ryan Baker of East Peoria; one son, Connor Baker; her parents, Jay and Joan Blair of Manito; one sister, Alex (Chris) Frank of Manito; her husband's parents Rob and Carla Baker of Manito; one sister-in-law, Casey (Dailan) Marshall of Manito; paternal grandmother, Jan Blair of Manito; three nephews, Emmett, Nolan, and Jase.

Sidney found her greatest fulfillment in being a mother and caring for others. Her son, Connor, was the center of her world and the source of her greatest joy. She dedicated herself to others through her career as a nurse. Sidney made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her love, strength, and compassion will be remembered and cherished forever by her family and friends.

Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
