Shirley L Burch

Shirley L. Burch, 80, of Pekin passed away at 6:23 pm Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at Timbercreek Rehab Center in Pekin. Shirley was born July 23, 1928 in Canton, IL to John and Nellie (Kingergy) Coney. She married Charles Vrell in 1952. He died in 1971. She then married Jack Burch in 1972. He died in 1977. Also preceding in death are one grandchild, two great grandchildren, one sister and one brother. Surviving are: five daughters, Paula (Pete) Bradfield of Green Valley, IL, Jody (Dan) Mungoven of Manito, Carol Jennings and Kim Rogers both of Pekin and Mary Fields of Havana, IL; twelve grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren; one sister, Sue Schorck of Katy, TX. Shirley played softball for the Caterpillar Dieselettes from 1949 - 1955. She is a member of the American Armature Women's Softball Association and the Illinois Hall of Fame for American Softball Association.
