Sherry A. Mccoy

Sherry A. McCoy, 73, of Peoria, IL passed away at 2:35 AM Thursday, August 29, 2024 at The Loft Rehabilitation of Peoria with her family at her side. Sherry was born on February 27, 1951 in Peoria, IL to Chester H. and Lerene K. (Morris) Stanley. She married Robert J. McCoy on June 2, 1984 in Peoria. Surviving are: her husband, Robbie of Peoria; one son, Shawn (Beth) Stanley of Peoria; two daughters, Joy (Sean) Amundson of California and Jill (Matt) Andrews of Dunlap, IL; seven grandchildren, Logan, Emmy, Lexie, Kylie, Sydney, Hunter and McKinzie. Sherry was a police officer for the city of Peoria for 10 years retiring in 1983. She enjoyed music and traveling. There will be no services. Cremation will be accorded with interment in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria at a later date. Henderson Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with Sherrys arrangements.
