Shelby Bellinger

Shelby Y. Bellinger of Marquette Heights passed away peacefully Monday, May 28, 2018 at Timbercreek Rehab & Health Care. She was born November 21, 1936 to Albert and Dorothy (Corbin) Walters in Salem, IL. On Valentine's Day, February 14, 1953, she married Thomas M. Bellinger in a small ceremony at her parents' home in Bridgeport, IL. Her parents preceded her in death many years ago and her husband passed away Mother's Day, May 13, 2018. They were married for 65 years and after being apart for two weeks, she now joins him in God's Kingdom for all of eternity. Shelby was a kind, passionate woman that found joy as a Coach for NPMHRA, Girl Scout leader, member of the Marquette Heights Women's Club, making crafts and rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory, 2131 Velde Dr. in Pekin. Her funeral service will be immediately following at 11:00 am with Pastor Tony Darr officiating. The family wants to express their gratitude for the loving and compassionate care provided at Timbercreek Rehab and Health Care and the Compassus Hospice Team.
