Scott D. Byrd

Scott D. Byrd, 52, of Pekin, IL passed away at 1:00 AM Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at his home, just as he wanted, surrounded by his family. We miss him so much but we will see him in heaven. We loved him so much. He was our son, our friend and our buddy. Scott was born on December 30, 1972 in Peoria, IL to Terry R. and Barbara L. (Davis) Byrd. He was preceded in death by his father on December 8,2023. His grandparents Orville & Beulah Davis and Percy & Pearl Byrd Proceeded him in death. Surviving are: His mom, Barb of Pekin; one brother, Jeff (Michelle) Byrd of Tremont, IL; one niece, Sara Byrd, one nephew, Eric Byrd and one great nephew, Jaiden Stork. 20 aunts and uncles. 31 first cousins. Scott was a Christian. He was such a good guy. A gentle giant. He had been ill since he was 14. He never had a wife, children or that white picket fence. He attended Washington schools. He played trumpet in Beverly Manor band. Some may remember him. Private graveside services were held on Saturday, February 15th at Lakeview Cemetery with Rev. Rita Blanch officiating. Henderson Funeral Home has been entrusted with Scotts arrangements.
