Sarah Yentes

Sarah E. Yentes, 88, of Pekin passed away at 1:49 AM Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the home of her daughter, Dianne, with her three daughters at her side. Sarah was born May 29, 1923 in Springlake Township, Tazewell County, Illinois to Lawson and Ora (Parker) Goodin. She married Donald E. Yentes on August 4, 1940. He passed away on November 5, 2004. Also preceding in death are her parents, two sisters and five brothers. Surviving are: three daughters, Dianne (Jim Wilcox)Greshman of Pekin, Debbie Jaeger of Waterloo, IL and Donna (Jerry) Pescaglia of Rocheport, MO; three grandchildren, Keplen (Dione) Gresham of Pekin, Ryan (Amy) Pescaglia of Columbia, MO and Andrea (Timothy) Schade of Columbia, MO.; seven great grandchildren. Sarah was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Tri County Golf. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at First United Methodist Church. Rev. Terry Edele will officiate.Visitation will be from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to Henderson Funeral Home in Pekin. Memorial contributions may be made to Redeemer Special Church for the Handicap or Alzheimer's Association - Central Illinois Chapter.
