Sammantha Berry, 32, of Pekin, IL passed away at 11:04 AM on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Carle Health Methodist in Peoria, IL.

Sammantha was born on December 9, 1993 in Lich, Germany to Edward J. Peters Jr. and Sybil Berry.

Surviving are: her father, Edward of Pekin; her mother, Sybil of Germany; her fiancé, Seth Houston of Pekin; four children, Ben Berry of Pekin, Bella Latta-Berry of Germantown Hills, Maya and Octavia Houston both of Pekin; one brother, Kai Berry of Germany, two sisters, Lisa and Nina Berry both of Germany; several nephews.

Samantha found profound joy in the beauty of music, the expression of art, and the creativity of crafting—activities that filled her days with color, melody, and purpose. Yet nothing brought her greater fulfillment or shone brighter in her heart than the sacred role she cherished above all: being a mom. Her love for her children was boundless, woven into every moment, every gentle word, and every proud smile.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to gather family, friends, and all who were touched by her warmth and spirit. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with Sammantha’s arrangements.
