S. Louise Mchenry

S. Louise McHenry, 85, of Pekin, IL passed away at 10:05 AM Saturday, January 03, 2015 at Pekin Hospital. Louise was born on June 14, 1929 in Tallula, IL to Frank and Betty Mae (Thompson) Troxell. She married Arthur L. McHenry on May 22, 1947 in Petersburg, IL. He passed away on May 8, 1998. Also preceding in death are her parents, one infant daughter, Christina, two brothers, Edward and Richard Troxell and one sister, Della Justice. Surviving is: one son, Joseph (Diane) McHenry of East Peoria, IL; two daughters, Linda (Donald) Ray of Waco, TX and Katherine (Robert) Kelly of Pekin; five grandchildren, Crystal Lindow, Sandra Deely, Joshua McHenry, Jason McHenry and Shaun Kelly; four great grandchildren, Rylie Deely, Vance Carlson, Arica Lindow and Kamryn Lindow; one brother, Robert R. (Marilyn) Troxell of Oakford, IL. Louise was of the Christian Faith. She worked at Pekin Hospital for 29 1/2 years retiring in 1991 last working in the surgical department. She loved cooking for family, friends and co-workers and was affectionately known as the 'Pie Lady'. She enjoyed camping with family and friends at the Fulton County Recreation Area. During the 1970's she and her husband belonged to the Morton Whirl-A-Ways. Visitation for Louise will be from 5:00 PM -7:00 PM Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr. Pekin. Graveside services will be Wednesday, January 7 at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield with Bishop Ray Black and Pastor Yvonne Black officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate or American Heart Association.
