Rosie Wolfer

Rosie Wolfer, 83, a lifelong resident of Pekin, IL passed away peacefully at 7:16 PM Saturday, March 21, 2026 at her home.

Rosie was born on May 16, 1942 in Pekin, IL to Carl H. and Kathryn (Heiser) Wolfer Sr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Carl H. Wolfer Jr. and one sister, Marjorie Wolfer.

Surviving is: one sister, Debra Nelson of Irvine, CA, one niece, Courtney (Jeff) Tilson of Seal Beach, CA; and two great-nephews, one great-niece.

Rosie loved animals, especially her dog Jacques, and was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Pekin Lettes softball. She participated as a breaststroke swimmer in a Special Olympics preliminary program and was the longest-serving client of the Tazewell County Resource Center, attending the TCRC workshop for 66 years. She was also a member of First Mennonite Church of Morton.

Rosie was beloved by all who knew her and held a deep love for her community.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 26, 2026 at First Mennonite Church in Morton followed by a luncheon. Visitation will be one hour prior, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM also at the church. Interment will be at 2:00 PM Thursday in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting Rosie’s family with arrangements.
