Rosemary A. Ashton

Rosemary A. Ashton, 69, of Marquette Heights, passed away at 7:13 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Timbercreek Rehab & Health Care in Pekin surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on March 21, 1956, in Peoria to Louis and Virginia M. (Leppin) Minder. On February 14, 1987, she married Jack Ashton in Peoria. Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Virginia Kay Pitcher; and one niece, Amanda Minder.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Ashton of Marquette Heights; one son, Michael Terry of St. Louis, MO; one brother, Timothy (Cindy) Minder Sr. of MO; one sister, Linda (Scott) Miller of Peoria; nine nieces; seven nephews; 23 great-nieces and great-nephews; 37 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and two great-great-great-nieces.

Rosemary was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Peoria. Known for her kind, loving, and generous heart, she cherished her children and family deeply.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 20, 2025, at New Covenant Church of God, 106 Grant Rd., Marquette Heights, IL, with Pastor Kim Bacon officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. also at the church. Cremation will be accorded following the funeral, with inurnment at a later date in Lakeside Cemetery Columbarium in Pekin. Arrangements are entrusted to Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory.
