Ronald Funcannon

Ronald B. Funcannon, 80, of Metamora, IL passed away at 5:00 AM Saturday, February 10, 2018 at his son's home in Mapleton, IL. Ron was born on May 13, 1937 in Peoria, IL to Ralph and Vivian (Rose) Funcannon. He married Ronna Dossett on November 24, 1975 in Germantown Hills, IL. Preceding in death are his parents, two brothers, Carl Funcannon and Doyle Funcannon, two sisters, Sharon Hensley and Connie Meisner. Surviving are: his wife, Ronna of Metamora; two sons, Dave Funcannon of Mapleton, IL and Dan (Beth) Funcannon of Washington, IL; one daughter, Vicki (Linda Foster) Funcannon of Pekin; two grandchildren, Jessica and Collin Funcannon; one brother, Bob (Mel) Funcannon of Trinidad, CO. Ron was a machinist at Caterpillar Inc. for 30 years retiring in 1987. He served in the United States Army Reserves for six years. Memorial services will be at 6:00 PM Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory, 2131 Velde Dr. Pekin. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM - 6:00 Pm Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
