Roger Clark Hunt

Roger C. Hunt, 68 of 714 Monge St. Pekin, passed away at 4:52 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2007 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Roger was born in Chicago, IL on June 7, 1938 to Roger L. and Blanche Clark Hunt. Surviving are two sons; Chris (Melanie)Hunt of Beaufort, SC, and Clark (Michele)Hunt of Syracuse, NY; three daughters Sylvia Hunt of Fairfax, VA, Sonja Hunt of Stafford, VA, and Shar (Sami)Abaied of Fairfax, VA; two sisters, Doris Schmidt of Chicago, IL, and Claudette Hunt of Bartonville, IL.; nine grandchildren, Cristin Hunt, Jordan Hunt, Alexandria Hunt, Ashley Hunt, Chance Hunt, Reed Hunt, Ethan Hunt, Owen Hunt and Naim Abaied. Roger was preceded in death by one brother, Lowell, and two sisters, Linda and Gayle. Roger worked at Caterpillar for seven years.He owned and managed several restaurants in Pekin for over thirty years.Roger was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pekin where for the last five years he volunteered in the kitchen. Roger was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan.Roger was a loving father and grandfather to his family.He loved to cook.
