Roger Guler

Roger Oskar Guler, 74, of Pekin passed away at 7:05 pm Saturday, July 21, 2007 at his home. Roger was born September 19, 1932 in Donnellson, Iowa to Oskar G. and Viola Haag Guler. Preceding him in death were his parents and four sisters. Roger is survived by one nephew, Jerry (Shirley) Metz and one niece, Karen (Jack) Epkins both of Morton. Roger was a carpenter with the Local Carpenters Union #644 where he also served as business agent for several years.He had worked for Antonini Builders and Monge Construction.Roger was an avid hunter and sportsman.In earlier years he raced motorcycles and belonged to the American Motorcycle Association.He owned and raised Quarter Horses and belonged to the American Quarter Horse Association. Graveside services will be at 11:30 am Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at Lakeside Cemetery.Rev. Greg Dykstra will officiate.Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Wednesday at Henderson Funeral Home in Pekin.
