Roger D. Gerkin

Roger D. Gerkin, 73, of West Chester, OH formerly of Pekin passed away on February 16, 2012. He was born on January 11, 1939 in Watseka, IL. He married Marilee Keller on March 13, 1965 in Peoria, IL. She passed away on October 17, 2000. Also preceding in death are his parents, daughter, Rachel A. Jones and sister, Lois Wood. Surviving is: one son, Ryan (Lisa) Gerkin of Kings Mills, OH; two grandchildren, Jessica and James Gerkin; one brother, Bob (Dot) Gerkin. Graveside services will be at 10:00 Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Sand Prairie Cemetery near Green Valley, IL. Monsignor Timothy Nolan will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday at Henderson Funeral Home in Pekin. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent De Paul Society, 4530 Este Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45232.
