Robert George Schroppel Jr.

Robert G. "Bob" Schroppel Jr., 68 of East Peoria passed away at 4:00 pm, Friday from cancer on April 28, 2023 at his home with family surrounding him. He was born in Peoria to Robert George & Stella (Watson) Schroppel Sr. on March 8, 1955. Bob was preceded in death by; his parents; and one sister, Diane Blanch He is survived by; one son, Kenneth (Tracy) Schroppel; one daughter, Tiffany (Brett) Schroer; four sisters, Vickie (Robert) Emmer, Kathy (Norman) Wagley, Cheryl Johnson and her significant other Heye Look, and Teresa Engle and her significant other Willis Blair; brother-in-law Ron Blanch, and his companion Janet Powell. Bob had 4 grand kids Christina, Hannah, Parker, Danielle and many loving nieces and nephews. Bob previously worked at Federal Warehouse in East Peoria as a fork lift driver and order picker. He was a loud and proud Cub and Bears Fan. He enjoyed camping, which allowed him to do his favorite activities, drinking beer and watching the campfire. He considered himself a champion solitaire player, "if you play it his way, you can win every time". When Bobby was younger you could catch him "thumbing" a ride up and down Cole. Bobby would often walk around his neighborhood in his younger days, shirtless, with his dog, TINY. Bobbys sense of humor and sarcasm will be truly missed. He treasured his family and will be greatly missed. Bobby never met a stranger! A Celebration of Bobs wonderful Life will be held at a later date. Cremation has been accorded.
