Robert Elliott Garls

Robert Elliott Garls, 62, of Glasford, IL passed away at 8:32 am Sunday, November 2, 2008 at his home. Bob was born July 28, 1946, Pekin to Robert G. and Margaret M. Elliott. He married Margaret Prewitt on August 6, 1999 in Pekin, IL. Preceding in death are his parents, one daughter, Martina Elisabeth Garls and one nephew, Mike Garls. Surviving are: his wife, Margaret of Glasford; one son, Robert Thomas (and Debra) Garls of Farmington, IL; one daughter, Angela Patterson (Tim Johnson) of Glasford, IL; two step sons, Robert H.(and Rhonda) Miller of Pekin and Patrick J. (and Jennifer) Miller of Nashville, TN; one step daughter, Jessica R.(Ben Lindemann)Miller of Ballwin, MO; five grandchildren, Gage Elliott Garls, Nathan Patterson, Haley Miller, Jacob Miller, Kyle Miller and Grace Miller; two brothers, James D. (and Sandy) Garls and John A. (and Sharon) Garls both of Pekin: two sisters, Michelle (and Jack) Evans of Maryville, TN and Marcia (and Mark) Prill of Ypsilanti, MI; his former wife, Elisabeth Garls of Glasford, IL. Bob was an Electrician with IBEW Local #34 for thirty-four years last working earlier this year. He was Veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was an avid NASCAR fan with his favorite driver being Mark Martin. He enjoyed photography also.
