Robert E. Estes

Robert E. Estes, 90, of Pekin, IL passed away at 9:48 AM Saturday, April 15, 2017 at his home. Robert was born on January 7, 1927 in Camden, IL to Fred and Freda (Wells) Estes. He married Betty Ferro on February 26, 1956 in Canton, IL. She passed away on April 8, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty, two sisters, and one brother. Surviving are: one daughter, Stacey (Matt) Seei of Dunlap, IL; two grandchildren, Cassandra (Steve) Oedewaldt, and Ryan Seei both of Peoria; and one sister-in-law, Patricia (Loren) Cooper of Jacksonville, IL. Robert was a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He enjoyed spending time dining out with family (having pancakes and coca cola) and spoiling his grandchildren. He served in the United States Air Force and worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for 40 years. He attended First United Methodist Church in Pekin. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, April 21, 2017 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory, 2131 Velde Dr., Pekin with Rev. James McClarey officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home. Entombment with military honors by the United States Air Force will be at Resurrection Mausoleum in Peoria.
