Robert "Terry" Collier

Robert "Terry" Collier, 80 of Pekin, passed away at 5:37 pm, Friday, November 1, 2024 at Carle Health Pekin Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born to Robert and Lorene (Boyer) Collier in Pekin on October 1, 1944. He married Darlene Armnyak on May 25, 1968 at St. Joseph Church in Pekin. His parents preceded him in death. Terry is survived by; his wife, Darlene, two daughters, Angie (Jeff) Theleritis and Teresa (Mike) Hill, both of Pekin; six grandchildren, Lindsey (Cody) Comstock, Madison Hill, Maesyn (Conner) Glidewell, Jacob Hill, Olivia Theleritis, and Cooper Theleritis; and one great grandchild, Emerson. Terry was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. He was a Veteran serving in the United States Army. He worked at Caterpillar for 40 years, retiring in 2002. Terry enjoyed golf, John Wayne movies and traveling with Darlene, including trips to South Africa and Alaska. He loved his family dearly, and was treasured by his wife, daughters, and grandchildren. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin with Father Michael Andrejek as celebrant. A visitation will be immediately prior from 9:15 am to 10:45 am also at the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin with Military Honors provided by the United States Army and the Tazewell Military Rites Team.
