Robbie"Rob" L. Cagle

July 22, 1965 — September 11, 2011

Robbie Cagle, cancer warrior and former railroad employee, passed away at 6:15 pm Sunday, September 11, 2011 at his home. He was 46. Rob was born on July 22, 1965 in Peoria, IL to Lindon L. and Carol S. (Edwards) Cagle. He married Jill (Stein) Pollman on August 26, 1995 in Pekin, IL.She survives. Also surviving are: his parents both of Pekin; three daughters, Adrienne (Dustin) Bowman of Texas, Brianna (Michael) Keliinoi of Pekin and Kierstyn Cagle of Pekin; one grandchild, Mikaela Keliioni; one sister, Leisa (Brad) Foiles; several nieces and nephews; and three four legged friends, Molly, Missy and Harley. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Rob was a great man with a huge heart for giving, inspiring others and loving life with a passion that words cannot explain. He served in the United States Navy as a corpsman, retired from WATCO and the P&PU Railroad, and worked part time at Pekin Park District as an umpire. He loved fishing, golfing, riding his Harley and hanging out with family and friends. He bowled on many different leagues where he earned a '300' ring. Helping others was just a part of Rob. He organized and helped with many benefits and helped coach the Illini Bluffs Fishing Team. He was a member of the Normandale Reformed Church and had a special spot in his heart for the Youth For Christ Organization. He was dedicated to helping find a cure for Mesothelioma, including petitioning on Capitol Hill to ban asbestos 100%, which is something that he wanted all of us to continue to fight for. His love for life was evident in everything he did. As he would say'It's All Good'. Cremation rites are being handled thru Henderson Funeral Home. No visitation is planned. Henderson Funeral Home, along with family and friends, are planning a Memorial/Celebration of Life event on September 30 at the Pekin Avanti's Dome from 6:00 pm till? for anyone who would like to help us celebrate Rob's life. The family is requesting that anyone with a motorcycle meet at 5:30 pm that evening at Henderson Funeral Home (420 Walnut St. Pekin) where a bike processional will make its way to the dome.
