Richard Siegler

Richard P. Siegler, 89, of Pekin, IL passed away at 7:30 PM Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Manor Care -Riverview in East Peoria, IL. Richard was born on June 18, 1924 in Arcadia, WI to Erwin and Verna (Wisenberger) Siegler. He married Alice Dawley on June 18, 1949 in Burlington, WI. She passed away on February 22, 2012. Also preceding in death are his parents, five brothers and four sisters. Surviving are: two sons, Jeff (Debbie) Siegler and Steven (Sheila) Siegler; one daughter, Julie (Tom) Barwick of Mansfield, OH; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy and Marie. Richard was a veteran of the United States Army.He was a truck driver for forty years for Quality Carriers. After retirement he drove a Pekin school bus and then later was a monitor on a bus. Richard was a member of Teamsters Local # and was a charter member of Sunset Hills Golf Club. He loved fishing and gardening. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr. Pekin with Rev. Jerry Tupper officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM - & 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
